Helen Mirren Retiring from Nude Scenes
Aside from being a brilliant Oscar-winning actress and having a really great helium voice, Helen Mirren is known largely for having an absolutely *amazing* body at an age at which womens' bodies are usually no longer even a topic of discussion. The 70-year-old stunner has flaunted her perfect figure in a number of films, and her boobs alone have featured in an SNL skit aptly titled "Helen's Magical Bosom."
But, sadly, it appears she's now boarding up the entrance to the promised land. In an interview with Alan Cumming on "Remember That Time?" the star announced that there are no more nude scenes in her future.
"That's the good thing about getting older," she said. "You don't have to do that sort of thing anymore. My pleasure pillows are purely for my husband now."
Mirren said that she didn't set out to be a nude scene icon, but at some point figured (and I quote), "Pfffttt, does it really matter?"
While we respect her decision, of course, it's hard to lose such a national treasure. But, hey, at least we'll always have the memories. (Warning: link probably NSFW.)
